The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s only all animal rescue service, is seeking to recruit a Rehoming & Foster Coordinator for employment in the North region.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of abused, abandoned and injured animals rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year. The role holder will assist in implementing and supporting rehoming and fostering across the North of Scotland, ensuring animal care is to the Scottish SPCA standards and the needs of both volunteer and foster animals are met.

The successful candidate will enhance the adoption process by assessing customer requirements and suitability for rehoming. They will work closely with ARRC colleagues to effectively manage the rehoming journey by matching adopters with suitable animals appropriate to their circumstances. Working alongside the Rehoming and Fostering Lead, the role holder will be involved in developing and shaping the future of the Scottish SPCA’s rehoming strategy and will provide a first class customer experience to potential adopters. A high standard of animal welfare and a reduction in the length of time animals spend in our care will also be a key area of focus for the role.

The successful candidate will have practical experience working with animals aswell as the general public and volunteers. Excellent customer care and communications skills are essential.

Hours of work are an average of 35 hours per week. The role is home based with travel throughout the North region including Inverness on a regular basis.
