The Scottish SPCA is currently seeking a Regional Operations Lead (West).  This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of abused, abandoned and injured animals rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year.

 

The Regional Operations Lead (West) will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of all Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centres (ARRCs) in the West region currently including Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Dumbarton. Working closely with the Operations leadership colleagues and ARRC managers to achieve organisational excellence. The role will involve overseeing the general management of the ARRCs in the region, optimising performance and ensuring consistently high levels of colleague engagement as well as an excellent standard of animal welfare are the norm. 

 

The role will also include overseeing the effective delivery the Scottish SPCA’s community engagement activities throughout the West region via the Community Engagement Manager. 

 

The role holder will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver the business plan and strategic priorities, including the development and implementation of new services. There may also be a requirement to lead, deliver and contribute to pan-operations strategic projects on behalf of the function and the Society.     

 

Based within the West of Scotland, the post holder will be required to live in or close to the region as regular travel within the area would be essential to meet the demands of the role.

 

This role will be subject to a Disclosure Scotland check.   Driving licence is essential.
