We’re the Scottish SPCA. Scotland’s all animal emergency service.
Rescue is the start of a journey through rehabilitation to release or rehoming. It means helping struggling owners. It means preventing emergency rescues through education. And it’s always relentless. Because the rescues never stop.
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Registered Veterinary Nurse in the Glasgow area to join our dedicated clinical team where we help rehabilitate animals with disadvantaged backgrounds and work with the rescue centres to find them new forever homes.
As an RVN do you want to work for an organisation that makes a huge impact on animal welfare across Scotland and beyond?
Do you want to work sociable hours where a late finish is rarely beyond 5pm?
Do you want to work somewhere where tea breaks and lunch breaks are a daily occurrence and usually on time?
Do you want to work somewhere where you get 2 full days’ rest after working at the weekend?
Do you want to work somewhere with a fun and supportive team where staff training and support are a key focus?
Do you want to work somewhere where we always put the quality of life of our animals first and foremost and we have a high surgical caseload?
Then come and join us.
We are looking for a qualified RVN with a minimum one year post-qualification experience. Candidates should have excellent customer care and communication skills and experience of working with animals in a veterinary environment. The post will cover the wider Glasgow area which could include our Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centres in Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire.
