The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s animal welfare charity, is seeking to recruit a Registered Veterinary Nurse to supervise the Low Cost Neutering Scheme at its Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join Scotland’s animal welfare champions and make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of abused, abandoned and injured animals rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year.

 

The Registered Veterinary Nurse will support the clinic animal nursing team, providing a high standard of customer service and clinical care whilst promoting animal welfare and supporting our Veterinary Surgeons. They will be responsible for providing supportive care of animals receiving treatment within the Veterinary Department and assisting the Veterinary Surgeons in the diagnosis, treatment and care of sick or injured animals.

 

The role will be based in our purpose-built facilities in Glasgow; working with an experienced and passionate team of veterinary professionals. This is an excellent and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to work with welfare animals, making a real difference to animals’ lives.

 

Candidates should have excellent customer care and communication skills, experience of supporting a team as well as working with the general public.

 

Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week, working 10 days out of 14 to include weekend work and backshifts on a rota basis.
