The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s animal welfare charity, is seeking to recruit a part time Veterinary Surgeon to join our team for a period of 6 months providing care for disadvantaged furred, feathered and scaled animals looking for new homes. The role will be based in our purpose-built facilities in Glasgow.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of abused, abandoned and injured animals rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year.

This position would suit someone who enjoys surgery. Hours of work are 22.5 hours per week, between 8am and 5pm, although your start and finishing times may vary due to the volume and number of patients being cared for, 6 days out of 14 days on a group rota, to include occasional weekend work. On call duties are shared across the Vet team.

We have a good range of equipment including ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, modern dental equipment and in-house blood testing. We are sevoflurane throughout.

Please note that this position will require you to undertake a Standard Disclosure Scotland check.  Full Driving licence is required.
