The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s animal welfare charity, is seeking to recruit Auxiliary Inspectors to be based in Caithness & Sutherland and Isle of Lewis.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of abused, abandoned and injured animals rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year.

 

Practical experience working with animals, a strong interest in animal welfare and excellent communication and customer care skills are essential. In addition, candidates will possess a full UK manual driving licence and their own vehicle.

 

Hours of work are between 7.30am and 11pm, 4 days out of 14 on a rota basis to include weekends. You will also be required to cover for holidays and sickness therefore flexibility is key to delivering an effective service to the area.

 

Please note that this position will require you to join the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme, as you will be required to conduct Educational Duties, therefore part of this job is termed as a “childcare” position.
