The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s animal welfare charity, is seeking to recruit Animal Helpline Operatives on a 3 month fixed term contract. The role is based at its Headquarters in Dunfermline but will involve home working initially (internet connection is required).

 

The Scottish SPCA Animal Helpline responds to emergency calls dealing with animals in distress and other related animal matters. The Animal Helpline fields over 230,000 calls per annum and our Inspectors and Animal Rescue Officers will attend over 85,000 incidents this year.

 

Applicants should have excellent telephone and customer care experience and a keen interest in animal welfare. Previous call or contact centre experience is desirable.

 

Hours of work are 30 hours per week, working up to 4 days out of any 7, on a rota basis to include weekends, working up to 7.5 hours per day between the hours of 7:30am and 9pm.  All applicants must be flexible to work between the hours of 7:30am and 9pm.
