The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s animal welfare charity, is seeking to recruit a Pharmacovigilance & Biosecurity Officer to join our team. This role will be primarily home-based however you must be able to travel to our office in Glasgow as required.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of abused, abandoned and injured animals rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year.

You will be responsible for establishing and implementing Policies and Procedures that encourage best practice throughout the Society in relation to the distribution, storage and use of Veterinary Pharmaceutical Products (VPPs), including Pentobarbitone, by ARRC, Inspectorate, and Veterinary staff.

You will have an RVN or equivalent qualification with a minimum 3-years post-qualification experience, previous experience in a clinical Veterinary environment and demonstrable experience in teaching and creating learning materials. You will also have relevant knowledge of biosecurity principles and project management experience. 

Hours of work are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. You may occasionally be required to work additional/different hours and travel to our various sites.
