The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s leading animal welfare charity, is seeking to recruit an 

Assistant Manager at its Lanarkshire Animal Rescue & Rehoming Centre.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of abused, abandoned and injured animals rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year.

 

The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of animal welfare  and assist the manager with the production of the centre’s budget, staff recruitment, engagement and development, succession planning, centre cleanliness and presentation.

 

Excellent customer care, communication skills and practical experience working with animals are essential. Strong IT skills and previous management experience are desirable. A full UK manual driving licence is required.

 

Hours are an average of 37.5 per week, 10 days out of 14 on a rota basis to include weekends. Additional hours may need to be worked. You will provide on-call night cover at the centre on a rota basis in conjunction with the manager.
