The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s animal welfare charity, is seeking to recruit a Clinical Animal Behaviourist for employment at its Glasgow Animal Rescue & Rehoming Centre in Cardonald.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, passionate, empathetic and confident Clinical Animal Behaviourist to join our team.

This is the first role of its kind in the organisation and you will be given the opportunity to help shape the ethos around behavioural standards, the animal journey and the collective language across both the centre itself and eventually the wider Society.

Your generosity of knowledge and passion for improving animal welfare standards means you will be a compassionate coach to the people around you, upskilling both staff and rehoming customers. Your strong communication skills enable you to bring people with you and build effective relationships across the organisation.

You are adaptable and are excited about the opportunity to join the organisation at the start of a new chapter, where clinical behavioural expertise will help improve the lives of animals in our care both now and in the future. You are resilient and in the face of adversity your positive outlook shines through.

Hours are 8.30am to 4.45pm, working 10 days out of 14 on a rota basis to include weekends.
