The Scottish SPCA, Scotland’s animal welfare charity, is seeking to recruit a Water Treatment & Maintenance Officer at its National Wildlife Centre in Fishcross, Alloa.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Society and make a real difference to the lives of the thousands of wildlife casualties rescued by the Scottish SPCA each year.

The main role of the Water Treatment and Maintenance Officer is to ensure the daily smooth running of the Centre’s recycled water treatment plant. You will also be required to undertake a wide variety of tasks and maintenance jobs as required or as directed by Management. You will be supervising a small team of maintenance volunteers.

Water treatment plant or plumbing experience is essential as well as practical experience of general maintenance work. The successful applicant will have excellent customer care and communication skills and also have good attention to detail. A full driving licence is required.

Hours of work are 35 hours per week by rota, between the hours of 7.30am and 10pm, working 5 days out of 7, to include weekends.
